Chase

During the dawn, down the hill, among the tall aged deodars….  The sunshine flickering through the gaps between the leaves……..the soft crystal dews still prevailing on the blades of the grass……….

I used to run down the hill and chase him……….as we ran down the glee of our laughter echoed loudly from all round the hills……………

The hill, the trees, the grass knew about our love……………..

His thoughts abuted the horizon of the sky…………….where the clouds of autumn made the way to paradise…………….

Then…………………

In the solitude of autumn, the grass being yellow smelled his essence…………..                    In the whisper of the hills and trees I heard his name………

And today,                                                                                      in dreams and fantasies………..       Ensuing his footprints in the soft mud down the hill,…………

I chase………………..                                               Not  him, but only his shadow………….
